Description

The EPA National Student Services Contract provides opportunities for exceptional undergraduate and graduate students and recent Bachelor's, Master's, and Postdoctoral graduates to participate in the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Office of Research and Development (ORD) research and administrative projects at multiple EPA laboratories and research centers. We are seeking qualified applicants in business and related fields for our program. Selected applicants will receive hands-on training in a real-world setting, academic incentives and professional benefits, while contributing to EPA’s Mission. Among these benefits are:

Disciplines: Projects may include, but are not limited to, the following areas: business, information technology, accounting, business law, statistics, human resources, business management, and policy.

Locations: Location of the project will be determined by the needs of the respective research and development laboratories and offices within the Office of Research and Development. Past positions have been offered in Cincinnati, Ohio; Gulf Breeze, Florida; Research Triangle Park, North Carolina; Las Vegas, Nevada; Duluth, Minnesota; Athens, Georgia; and Washington, D.C.

Salary: Selected applicants will become temporary employees of ORAU and will receive an hourly wage for hours worked, based upon position, education and locale.

Travel: Some positions may require limited overnight travel.

Duration: Positions may be full-time or part-time up to 12 months with options to renew up to a maximum of 60 months.

Qualifications

To be eligible for this program, you must be:

  • at least 18 years of age and
  • enrolled in a business discipline in good standing, in a degree-seeking program, at an accredited U.S. educational institution or
  • a recent (within the last 24 months) graduate with a Bachelor's, Master's or Postdoctoral degree in a business, or related discipline and
  • be a citizen of the United States of America or a Legal Permanent Resident.

EPA ORD employees, their spouses, and children are not eligible to participate in this program.
