2024 Sandia Quantum, Computing, Mathematics, & Physics (QCaMP)
This is a high school opportunity. When creating your Zintellect account, you are welcome to select the option to not upload a resume.
The application will require:
- Profile information
- Educational details (i.e., dates of attendance/graduation, GPAs, majors, etc.)
- Academic records - for this opportunity, an unofficial transcript or copy of academic records may be submitted showing name, school name, current/enrolled classes, and GPA (.pdf upload)
The strangeness of quantum physics is being harnessed to revolutionize computing as we know it. At QCaMP, you will get a primer on the fundamentals of computing, learn hands-on the oftentimes perplexing phenomena of quantum physics, and apply those phenomena to solve computing problems in new ways.
Participants will gain experience creating circuits on a real-world quantum computer and gain access to resources to bring quantum concepts into the classroom. The only prerequisites for this camp are basic algebra and an interest in learning more!
QCaMP 2024 will be a 4-week-long camp aimed at the high school student level.
Selected students will participate from 7/1/2024-7/26/2024, and will receive the following benefits:
- $500.00 per week in stipend
- The ability to think about solving computing problems in novel ways
- Sample career paths, resources, and workforce opportunities to continue exploring
- Hands-on experimental experience with quantum circuits
