Oak Ridge Office of Environmental Management offers students and recent college graduates opportunities to learn about the mission of the DOE-EM office and to receive specialized training and practical experience on the safe cleanup of environmental projects stemming from five decades of nuclear weapons development and government-sponsored energy research.
Project:
Selected candidate will assist in the D&D, environmental restoration, and waste management activities managed by the USDOE OREM team in Oak Ridge, TN and attend IPT, regulator and contractor meetings.
Term
Duration will be for 12 months with possible extensions.
To qualify for the DOE Oak Ridge Environmental Management Science Education and Internship Program, you will need to meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- U.S. citizenship (verification will be required if selected), and at least 18 years of age (no exceptions).
- Post-graduate of an accredited institute of higher education.
Successful candidates will:
Have experience with project management, accounting, cost analysis, budget, and working with contracts.
I certify that I am a U.S. Citizen; will be at least 18 years old prior to the start of the appointment; have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
