The National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) Research Participation Program provides undergraduates, and recent college graduates an opportunity to study disciplines related to biomedical sciences.
Program mentors have achieved international recognition as highly productive and innovative researchers. The program continues a tradition of excellence reflected in the several Nobel prizes and other prestigious awards that have resulted from its work. Many scientists trained at NIDDK are now prominent faculty members at leading universities throughout the world.

Selected candidates will conduct biomedical research and training related to diabetes mellitus; endocrine, bone, and metabolic diseases; digestive diseases, including liver diseases and nutritional disorders; and kidney, urologic, and hematologic diseases.
Candidates will have the opportunity to conduct research on state-of-the-art imaging equipment and will gain experience in new multi-modality imaging techniques. They will learn to compile data for mathematical models and case studies that play a key role in understanding the effects of multi-organ disease progression.
What is the anticipated start date?
