Description

What is it?

Once every year, Nobel Laureates convene in Lindau, Germany, to meet the next generation of leading scientists. This year, it could be you that is selected to represent the next generation of scientists! Nobel Laureates in Chemistry, Physics, and Physiology or Medicine will be invited to the interdisciplinary Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting to be held June 28-July 3, 2020.

In 2020, over 600 young scientists will join the Nobel Laureates to discuss today’s scientific research. The scientific program of each Lindau Meeting is based on the principle of dialogue. The different sessions – lectures, discussions, Master Classes, and panel discussions – are designed to activate the exchange of knowledge, ideas, and experience between and among Nobel Laureates and young scientists. The Lindau Meetings cooperate with more than 200 of the most renowned science and research institutions worldwide to identify the most qualified participants. In the majority of cases, young scientists have to be nominated by these academic partners in order to be able to apply for participation. ORAU is one such partner and supports this initiative through the application process, as well as funding selected applicants, on their trip.
