The Information Technology Services – Technology Solutions (ITS-TS) group develops and maintains large web applications that support ORAU’s mission in scientific peer review, STEM workforce development, and emergency preparedness.  Zintellect (the platform which you’ll use to apply for this opportunity) is an example of one of the applications we build and maintain, and we see about 800,000 visits a year. This opportunity will have a weekly stipend starting at $700. 

What will I be doing?

An intern in the ITS-TS group would join an Agile Scrum software development team and contribute to one of our active development projects.  The intern would gain experience participating in all of the Scrum ceremonies (i.e. Stand up, refinement, demo, retro) and contribute code to an active web application using Microsoft .NET, MVC, Entity Framework, Javascript/jQuery.  The intern would complete work by following a process of development, product owner review, peer review, and quality assurance testing.  The intern would also observe the release process for work created during a sprint, as well as troubleshooting and solving production support issues (bugs).

Pursuing or recent graduate with a Bachelor’s degree computer science or related field with a minimum of 3.0 GPA. 

Recent, demonstrated experience building web applications with .NET/MVC/Entity Framework is a significant plus.
