Real-world Internships in Science & Engineering (RISE) Program
The 5th Annual RISE Program at Aberdeen Proving Ground is a one-of-a-kind paid internship experience for high school students interested in STEM.
The RISE Program is a two-week internship program for current High School students from Harford County, Cecil County, Baltimore County and Baltimore City public schools. Program participants support professional engineers and scientists to complete results oriented work. In addition to technical skills, students will develop professional skills through a series of leadership workshops.
Over the course of the two-week RISE Program, students will:
-spend between six to seven hours each day in a professional laboratory
-be exposed to real-world technology
-learn from and provide support to the engineers and scientists who work to support the Soldier
-have the opportunity for a real world introduction to STEM
This experience will inspire students to become future engineers and scientists and may serve as an early recruitment pipeline/bridge for the ARMY.
