Data Analysis Research (PHD)

 

One ORISE opportunity is available with the U.S. Army Public Health Center, located at APG, MD.  APHC is seeking a recent Public Health doctoral graduate to assist in the following research.  This is a twelve month research appointment with the option to be renewed for additional terms.  U.S. Citizenship is required.  This opportunity includes, but is not limited to, the following:

Outcomes Practice program evaluation capability in support of the Army Office of the Surgeon General's Behavioral Health Division. Participate in the evaluation of multi-site programs and services to include Embedded Behavioral Health (EBH) Leader Survey, US Army Special Operations Command EBH, Child and Family Behavioral Health Services, Accelerated Resolution Therapy, BH services to TRADOC, and Drug and Alcohol use and misuse. Assist on evaluation techniques and metrics, the development and delivery of quality data collection tools and deliverables. Assist with feedback on project plans, information papers, and scientific reports. Analyze and report evaluation findings using software: NVivo for qualitative data analyses, Verint for survey development, and SAS to conduct descriptive analyses. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of social, clinical and public health scientists to design and implement retrospective and prospective analysis of multiple data sources to inform the evaluation of direct-care and community-based programs and services that address behavioral and social health concerns and inform DA and DoD level policies. Assist with conducting literature reviews to inform the development of project plans and manuscripts. Assist with providing technical expertise to internal and external multidisciplinary working groups and stakeholders.

U.S. Citizenship is required to access the installation.
