Description

The ORISE Advanced Robotics Academy is a week-long day camp for rising 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students who already have a basic knowledge of building and programming a robot. The week will be filled with exciting and challenging activities! Working in small teams, students will move beyond robotics basics and explore autonomous operation and machine learning. Students will develop skills and mindsets to help them to grow into engineers, computer programmers, and technology leaders of the future.

Students will report to the Pollard Technology Conference Center on the campus of ORAU in Oak Ridge, TN July 11-15, 2022 from 8:30am - 4:30pm and should bring a sack lunch each day.

Qualifications

Participants must be rising 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade students and must be U.S. citizens or legal permeant residents. 

Participants should have prior experience with robotics. This Academy is not designed for beginners. 

Students will be selected for this program by a committee based on their responses on the application as well as on the responses from their reference. A reference form will be sent to the teacher indicated on the application form.

  • Citizenship: LPR or U.S. Citizen
  • Degree: Currently pursuing a High School Diploma/GED.
  • Overall GPA: 2.00
