The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) Robotics Academy is a week-long day camp for rising 7th, 8th, and 9th grade students filled with exciting and challenging activities. Working in small teams, students will design, build, and program a robot. Students will develop skills and mindsets to help them to grow into engineers, computer programmers, and technology leaders of the future.

Students will report to the Hunter McDaniel Building, Room 150 (HM150) at Virginia State University in Petersburg, VA July 26-30, 2021 from 8:30am - 4:30pm.

This program is made possible through a sponsorship from the Central Intelligence Agency.


Participants must be rising 7th, 8th, or 9th grade students and must be U.S. citizens. U.S. citizenship of those selected to participate will be verified through submission of a birth certificate or passport.

Students will be selected for this program by a committee based on their responses on the application as well as on the responses from their reference. A reference form will be sent to the teacher indicated on the application form.
