About the NASA Postdoctoral Program
The NASA Postdoctoral Program (NPP) offers unique research opportunities to highly-talented scientists to engage in ongoing NASA research projects at a NASA Center, NASA Headquarters, or at a NASA-affiliated research institute. These one- to three-year fellowships are competitive and are designed to advance NASA’s missions in space science, Earth science, aeronautics, space operations, exploration systems, and astrobiology.
Description:
Cosmology has flourished in the decades, emerging as a data-driven science whose phenomenological modeling has reached a form of convergence. This success entails new questions: the nature of dark energy and dark matter, the origin and evolution of the large-scale structures, and the details of the ionization history of the Universe.
The candidate will aim at addressing these salient issues with novel theoretical insights, observational probes, data analysis methods, or measurements. I expect the NPP post-doctoral scholar to conduct independent research relevant to current and future potential NASA mission such as SPHEREx, the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope, and Euclid, and to articulate their scientific synergies with on-going ground based efforts such as the Vera C.  Rubin Observatory, the Simons Observatory, or CMB-S4.
