A Biological Science research opportunity is available with the Southern Plains Range Research Station (SPRRS) in Woodward, Oklahoma. The selected applicant will assist in the maintenance and data collection of research field plots. The research may include planting, cultivating, irrigating, harvesting, sampling, and the collection of data. Once data is collected, the selected applicant will assist with the processing of forage samples for laboratory and data analyses.
The appointment is part-time, up to 32 hours per week, for one year and may be renewed upon the recommendation of the ARS and availability of funding. The participant must show proof of health and medical insurance. Health insurance can be obtained through ORISE. The participant does not become an employee of ARS or ORISE.
While participants will not enter into an employment relationship with ARS, this position requires a pre-employment check and a full background investigation.

Eligible applicants must be currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or university in biological or agricultural sciences or closely related fields. Knowledge or experience in plant field culture and the processing of laboratory samples is desirable.
