A fellowship opportunity is available in the Division of Environmental Hazards and Health Effects (DEHHE) within the National Center for Environmental Health (NCEH) at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, Georgia.

The participant will gain experience in the Division of Environmental Hazards and Health Effects, Radiation Studies Branch, as part of the Education and Communication Team.  This project will provide critical support to the Branch’s emergency response and radiation health effects research programs.  Information and training developed in the branch is disseminated to scientists, public health officials, health practitioners, other specific target audiences, and the public in order to reduce illness and death from radiation-related events and practices.

The fellow will support the Education and Communication Team by applying health communications and public health skills to plan, develop, implement, and evaluate health education and health communication projects, including developing and editing internal and external web pages using effective web page design principles.  He/she will also support branch communications staff as well as division, center, and agency communication employees.
